Detroit Tigers shortstop prospect John Peck is playing in the Arizona Fall League to refine his offensive approach and gain additional at-bats. Peck, the organization's No. 19 prospect, missed six weeks during the summer due to a hamstring injury. He made his Fall League debut with Scottsdale during a 5-2 victory over Glendale at Camelback Ranch on Sunday, recording his hardest-hit ball of the year at 110.3 mph.
The 2026 season saw Peck advance through multiple levels of the Tigers' system, including a major league call-up on August 31. Known for his strong defense, Peck showed offensive growth in 2026 by establishing career highs with a .502 slugging percentage and .841 OPS across the minors. Tigers manager A.J. Hinch highlighted Peck's defensive reliability and maturity during his big league stint.
