Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Freddy Peralta is scheduled to start Game 3 of the 2026 World Series against his former team, the Milwaukee Brewers. The Rays trail the series 2-0 heading into three games at Tropicana Field. Peralta joined Tampa Bay via trade prior to the MLB trade deadline after previously being traded by Milwaukee to the New York Mets before the 2026 season.

Milwaukee initially traded Peralta and Tobias Myers to the Mets for prospects Jett Williams and Brandon Sproat. After struggling with a 4.99 ERA in New York, Peralta was dealt to the Rays for Gary Gill Hill, Emilien Pitre, and Aidan Smith.
