ATLANTA -- Over the past month and change, the Dodgers have only had small samples to evaluate Shohei Ohtani's performance at the plate. But at this time of year, everything is magnified -- and what they've seen from Ohtani through…

Shohei Ohtani has struggled through the first two games of the NLDS against the Atlanta Braves, batting 2-for-8 with two strikeouts. Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts acknowledged that dropping Ohtani further down the lineup is a possibility ahead of Game 3 against left-hander Chris Sale, with the series tied 1-1.
Roberts attributed Ohtani's issues to several factors, including lingering injuries, rust from missing time in September, and chasing pitches out of the strike zone. Ohtani holds an elevated 42.9% chase rate in the series and is currently in a 20-game home run drought dating back to August 18.
