Yoshinobu Yamamoto will start Game 3 of the National League Division Series for the Los Angeles Dodgers against the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday at Truist Park. Yamamoto enters the 2026 postseason following a regular season where he anchored the Dodgers rotation with 28 starts, a 2.53 ERA, and 182 strikeouts across 185 innings. Manager Dave Roberts and first baseman Freddie Freeman praised the Japanese right-hander's dependability and poise in high-leverage moments.
Yamamoto previously earned 2025 World Series MVP honors after recording three winning decisions and finishing Game 7 with 2 2/3 scoreless innings of relief. He will face Atlanta ace Chris Sale in a rematch of their August 27 pitcher's duel.
