The Milwaukee Brewers have been without Brandon Woodruff for most of the season, but the two-time All-Star is making a push to return for the World Series.
Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Brandon Woodruff is attempting to return for the World Series after missing most of the season with a shoulder injury. Woodruff avoided surgery after his shoulder showed signs of healing, threw a 31-pitch bullpen session at Dodger Stadium, and was scheduled to face hitters on Tuesday.
However, Baseball Now argues that activating Woodruff poses a major risk due to roster rules surrounding injuries. The Athletic reported that club officials fear any setback could be ruled a pre-existing condition, which would prevent the Brewers from replacing him on the roster.
