The Milwaukee Brewers and Tampa Bay Rays will meet in the 2026 World Series beginning Friday at American Family Field, with both franchises pursuing their first championship. Milwaukee reached the Fall Classic by defeating the Padres and sweeping the Dodgers after posting a Major League-best 103 regular-season wins. The Rays advanced after winning the American League with 97 regular-season victories, sweeping the Yankees in the ALDS and overcoming the Guardians in six games.
The matchup features deep connections between the two organizations, including Rays pitcher Drew Rasmussen, ALCS MVP Freddy Peralta, and NLCS MVP Jake Bauers having played for both franchises. Milwaukee hold home-field advantage for the series after previously winning two of three regular-season games against Tampa Bay. Key storylines include whether Milwaukee can sustain their postseason power surge and how both analytical front offices gain strategic advantages.
