Twins right-hander Travis Adams had a strong finish to the season, putting him in a good position to make the 2027 Opening Day roster.

Jackson Kruse of Puckett's Pond argues that right-handed reliever Travis Adams has emerged as a serious candidate for the Minnesota Twins' Opening Day bullpen. After struggling with a 5.68 ERA into September, the 26-year-old finished the 2026 season strong by allowing only two earned runs and striking out 12 across 14 2/3 innings in the final month.
Adams completed the year with a 4.58 ERA and 62 strikeouts over 59 innings while excelling at limiting hard contact. While Kruse suggests Adams' late-season surge and quality peripheral metrics warrant a roster spot, he notes Adams has minor league options remaining, making a minor-league assignment to begin 2027 a strong possibility.
