Major League Baseball announced the monthly award winners for September 2026 to close out the regular season. Kansas City Royals rookie catcher Carter Jensen took home both AL Player of the Month and AL Rookie of the Month honors, while Cincinnati Reds star Elly De La Cruz earned NL Player of the Month after achieving a 30-30 season.
Pitching honors went to Tampa Bay Rays starter Freddy Peralta in the AL and Pittsburgh Pirates right-hander Jared Jones in the NL. Reliever awards went to Cleveland Guardians closer Cade Smith in the AL and Pittsburgh Pirates left-hander Mason Montgomery in the NL, with Colorado Rockies outfielder Cole Carrigg named NL Rookie of the Month.
