The SF Giants know Patrick Bailey can be clutch, but they never got to see him be clutch in the playoffs the way he's been with the Cleveland Guardians.

Former San Francisco Giants catcher Patrick Bailey hit a game-tying home run for the Cleveland Guardians in Game 1 of the ALCS against the Tampa Bay Rays on Monday night. Cleveland went on to win 7-3, continuing Bailey's clutch postseason run after he previously recorded a home run and a go-ahead single during an ALDS elimination game against the Chicago White Sox.
Around the Foghorn writer Nick San Miguel argues that Bailey's postseason success makes the Giants' decision to trade him increasingly difficult to justify. The writer notes that Bailey never experienced playoff baseball in San Francisco, though he frequently delivered clutch moments during his tenure with the team.
