Formerly with a wide base and closed off, the lefty-hitting Dax Kilby is now narrower and more open.

New York Yankees prospect Dax Kilby successfully rebuilt his swing in approximately one week and quickly translated the changes into Arizona Fall League success. Yankees director of hitting Jarret DeHart praised Kilby's rapid development, which helped the young hitter earn an AFL All-Star selection.
Kilby, a 2025 first-round draft pick out of a Georgia high school, reported to the club's Tampa facilities in late September after dealing with hamstring issues that limited him to 32 games in Low-A. Despite the missed time, he posted an .883 OPS with 39 walks and 31 strikeouts.
