If Alexander Volkanovski wants another crack at becoming a UFC double champion then he actually might get it. Earlier this month, the UFC featherweight champion pitched a potential superfight against UFC lightweight titleholder Justin Gaethje. Volkanovski has already failed twice…

UFC CEO Dana White stated he is open to booking a superfight between Alexander Volkanovski and lightweight champion Justin Gaethje. Speaking ahead of UFC 333, White noted that Volkanovski has achieved so much in his career that the promotion would likely support his desired matchups if he wins his upcoming featherweight defense.
Volkanovski is scheduled to defend his 145-pound title against Movsar Evloev in Abu Dhabi at UFC 333. The Australian previously floated the idea of a champion-versus-champion bout against Gaethje before retiring, despite other lightweight contenders waiting in line.
