South Korean lightweight Ji Young Kim suffered a severe knee injury caused by the referee following his knockout victory at Top FC 24: Breakthrough on October 23. Competing at Seoul's Textile Center, Kim dropped opponent Jun Woo Kim with a body shot in the second round to earn his first professional MMA win.
During the stoppage, the referee landed awkwardly on Kim's left leg while intervening between the fighters. The impact resulted in Kim clutching his knee in visible distress, raising concerns regarding potential ligament damage.
