Otari Tanzilovi defeated Malcolm Wellmaker via a second-round knockout at UFC Vegas 122 on Saturday night. Despite facing heavy pressure and getting knocked down early in the bout, Tanzilovi secured the comeback victory with a clean head kick at 2:39 of Round 2.
Wellmaker controlled much of the opening round, landing hard punches that dropped Tanzilovi and forced him into survival mode. Tanzilovi weathered the assault, traded combinations in the second frame, and landed the fight-ending strike to earn the biggest win of his UFC career.
