Julius Walker defeated veteran Gerald Meerschaert via second-round TKO at UFC Vegas 122 on October 10, 2026. Fighting at light heavyweight in the preliminary card finale, Walker dominated with his size and wrestling advantage before stopping Meerschaert at 3:35 of Round 2.
Following the defeat, the 38-year-old Meerschaert announced his official retirement from mixed martial arts after completing his 60th professional bout. With the victory, Walker improved his career record to 8-3 while handing Meerschaert his sixth consecutive loss.
