Ben Simmons expressed relief and satisfaction following his return to the court during a Sacramento Kings preseason game on Saturday. Simmons recorded seven points and one assist in nine minutes of action during Sacramento's 111-106 loss to the Golden State Warriors. The appearance marked his first NBA game action since April 2025, having missed the entire 2025-26 season with back issues.
Simmons, who signed a one-year deal with Sacramento, stated that his time away from basketball has helped slow the game down for him. While the limited minutes served as an initial step rather than a full resurgence, the three-time All-Star emphasized how positive it felt to simply compete again.
