The Charlotte Hornets have suffered yet another setback on the injury front just as their 2026–27 preseason campaign gets underway with a revamped roster.
Charlotte Hornets forward Brandon Miller was ruled out of an exhibition game against the Brooklyn Nets after suffering a shin contusion in practice. He is currently considered day-to-day, but the injury is not expected to sideline him for Charlotte's regular-season opener on October 21.
The setback comes while Miller and the Hornets negotiate a rookie-scale extension ahead of the October 19 deadline. The parties are projected to finalize a five-year deal worth more than $200 million.
