The Nets opened their preseason by cycling through every healthy player in a resounding 124-90 rout at Charlotte.

The Brooklyn Nets launched their preseason with a commanding 124-90 victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday. Veteran forwards Michael Porter Jr. and Julius Randle led the charge, with Porter scoring a team-high 16 points and Randle contributing 13 points and three assists. Brooklyn displayed sharp perimeter shooting by making 20 of 37 attempts from 3-point range and converting 25 Charlotte turnovers into 31 points.
Head coach Jordi Fernández utilized his full active roster as the Nets controlled every quarter of the contest. Day'Ron Sharpe contributed eight points, seven rebounds, and two blocks, while Drake Powell posted nine points with a game-high plus-20 rating. Charlotte played short-handed without Brandon Miller, Kon Knueppel, and Coby White, while Brooklyn rested injured rookies Mikel Brown Jr. and Joshua Jefferson.
