Chicago Bulls rookie Caleb Wilson criticized his team's effort and took personal responsibility following a 125-111 loss to the Boston Celtics on Friday at TD Garden. The defeat marked Chicago's second blowout loss to Boston in five days and served as their opening game in NBA Cup pool play, dropping the rebuilding Bulls to a 1-5 record on the season.
Wilson scored 23 points and hit six three-pointers, but he and veteran Buddy Hield voiced frustration over the lack of pride and competitive intensity. Boston took control early by outscoring Chicago 44-25 in the first quarter, dominating the paint and shooting 67% from the floor to hand the Bulls another decisive defeat.
