Dallas Mavericks head coach Dusty May has left the door open for 35-year-old center Dwight Powell to secure a spot on the team's final 15-man regular season roster. Writer Noah Weber notes that while front office executives Masai Ujiri and Mike Schmitz will make the final roster call, May's positive endorsement significantly improves Powell's chances. Weber also highlights that keeping Powell could put young center Moussa Cisse at risk of being waived, arguing that moving on from Cisse's long-term upside would be a risky decision for the franchise.
