Moneyball Mailbag – Media Day Edition

Michael Harris addresses Dallas Mavericks fan questions following Media Day, discussing individual player expectations and the upcoming season. Harris highlights Naji Marshall's stated goal to shoot 45% from three-point range, calling the target unrealistic given Marshall shot 29.1% last season, though he commends the forward's focus on improvement.

The mailbag also covers broadcast uncertainty for the Mavericks' preseason games against the Houston Rockets in Macao on October 9 and 11. Looking ahead to the regular season, Harris argues that staying healthy, building roster cohesion around Kyrie Irving and Cooper Flagg, and achieving a .500 record through the first 10 games are the team's key priorities.
