Jalen Duren and the Pistons have agreed on a new contract.

Jalen Duren and the Detroit Pistons have agreed to terms on a five-year, $200 million fully guaranteed contract extension. The agreement concludes an extended standoff that saw the 22-year-old center skip the opening practices of training camp while remaining unsigned as a restricted free agent.
Duren faced a deadline of 11:59 p.m. ET on Thursday to accept a one-year, $9.6 million qualifying offer before securing the long-term deal. The center is coming off a 2025-26 campaign where he averaged 19.5 points and 10.5 rebounds while helping Detroit capture the Eastern Conference's top seed.
