Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has dismissed online criticism regarding his conditioning and weight following a viral video from a preseason game against the Los Angeles Clippers. Speaking on The Draymond Green Show, the 36-year-old explained that his appearance in the clip was distorted by having a sweater, fanny pack, and glasses weighing down his shirt. Green stated that while he is not yet in peak shape, he feels good and does not care about the opinions of social media critics.
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr plans to utilize a five-out offense this season to reduce turnovers, shifting Green away from his traditional trailing playmaking role to operating on the wings and corners. Green is also expected to divide his minutes between power forward and center while teammate Kristaps Porzingis recovers from an injury.
