Dallas Mavericks star Cooper Flagg's card is now the third-most expensive NBA card and fifth-highest sports card, surpassing Flagg’s previous record by 20 times.
A one-of-one Cooper Flagg Topps Rookie Debut Patch card sold for $8.04 million at a Fanatics Collect auction on September 25, 2026. The Dallas Mavericks forward's autographed card features a game-worn patch from his NBA debut. The sale price more than doubled during late bidding, making it the third-most expensive basketball card ever sold.
The card was originally pulled by a South Carolina collector during a $515 livestreamed unboxing. Flagg, the top pick in the 2025 NBA draft out of Duke, previously saw his highest card sale reach $366,000. At the same auction, a Debut Patch card for San Antonio Spurs guard Dylan Harper sold for $2.88 million.
