Writer Chris Lambert argues that rookie Cameron Carr's commitment to the weight room is vital for his long-term success with the Los Angeles Lakers. Selected in the late first round of the 2026 NBA Draft after playing at Baylor, Carr acknowledged during media day that he is lifting weights daily to strengthen his thin frame.
Lambert suggests that Carr could spend significant time in the G League during his rookie season behind players such as Matisse Thybulle and Ziaire Williams. He believes that dedicated strength training and nutrition will eventually make Carr an ideal fit alongside Luka Doncic.
