The Miami Heat have reportedly structured their finances to retain guard Davion Mitchell in the upcoming offseason. Internal expectations place significant pressure on Mitchell as he serves as the team's starting point guard alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo.

According to Heat insider Barry Jackson, Miami sits more than $27 million below the projected luxury tax line following Pelle Larsson's contract extension. This financial flexibility puts the Heat in position to re-sign Mitchell and utilize their projected $15.8 million mid-level exception next summer.
