With a couple of strong performances to close out the preseason, Nick Richards may have just locked up his spot on the Miami Heat's opening-night roster.
Michael Saenz of All U Can Heat argues that center Nick Richards has likely secured a spot on the Miami Heat's opening-night roster following strong preseason performances. Richards averaged 10 points and eight rebounds across his final two preseason games, strengthening his position ahead of the roster deadline.
According to Saenz, keeping Richards on the opening-night roster would result in his contract becoming fully guaranteed for the 2026-27 NBA season. The writer highlights that Richards provides essential frontcourt depth capable of serving as a spot-starter if Bam Adebayo or Giannis Antetokounmpo misses time.
