Nate Ament took some people by surprise in the Milwaukee Bucks' first preseason game, while Kyle Kuzma left plenty to be desired.

Dalton Sell of Behind the Buck Pass argues that rookie Nate Ament is increasing pressure on veteran forward Kyle Kuzma in the Milwaukee Bucks' rotation. During Milwaukee's preseason opener against Minnesota, Ament scored eight points and grabbed two rebounds in under 14 minutes, displaying notable confidence. Meanwhile, Kuzma struggled considerably, recording just one point on a single free throw while missing all of his field goal attempts.
Sell suggests that if Kuzma's poor performances persist, Milwaukee could turn to Ament for more minutes. Kuzma is entering a crucial contract year with an expiring deal worth $20.5 million, though Sell notes he is still projected to open the regular season as the team's starting power forward.
