Minnesota’s starting five has star power, defensive versatility and offensive firepower at every position, making a strong case as the NBA’s best starting unit.
Ethan Kinney of Dunking with Wolves argues that the Minnesota Timberwolves boast one of the NBA's most complete starting lineups. The piece highlights offseason adjustments made by front office executive Tim Connelly, which addressed previous spacing limitations and point guard needs by bringing in franchise floor general LaMelo Ball alongside forward Jonathan Kuminga.
Kinney contends that the unit offers an elite blend of offensive versatility and defensive strength alongside Rudy Gobert and Jaden McDaniels. The writer maintains that this improved two-way balance enables Minnesota to rival league contenders such as the New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder, and San Antonio Spurs.
