Timberwolves’ ‘Twin Turbos’ Are Back And Could Become A Trio

The Minnesota Timberwolves have re-signed bench guards Ayo Dosunmu and Bones Hyland, reuniting the duo known as the "Twin Turbos." Dosunmu secured a five-year contract extension, while Hyland agreed to a one-year deal for the veteran minimum in late June to solidify head coach Chris Finch's backcourt depth.

Minnesota had previously traded for guard LaMelo Ball, but an Achilles tendon tear suffered by Donte DiVincenzo created roster space for Hyland's return. DiVincenzo could miss the entire 2026-2027 season, leaving Hyland and Dosunmu to maintain their fast-paced partnership.
