Violent demonstrations have forced the cancellation of an official fan event, although the NFL insists the game will proceed…
The NFL has canceled the planned Steelers House fan festival in Paris ahead of the regular-season game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New Orleans Saints. The decision comes in response to violent protests and civil unrest across France regarding living costs, education, and public services, particularly near Paris' Bastille neighborhood.
Despite the cancellation of the fan gathering, the NFL confirmed the game itself remains scheduled for Sunday, October 25, at the Stade de France. League executive Peter O'Reilly emphasized that security remains the highest priority, with organizers coordinating closely with local French authorities and the US State Department.
