The New York Knicks finalized their 2026-27 regular-season roster on Saturday by waiving veteran guard Bruce Brown. The move clears the path for center James Wiseman to secure the final roster spot ahead of Tuesday's season opener. The Knicks are expected to convert Wiseman's Exhibit 9 training camp agreement into a league-minimum contract after he averaged 8.0 points and 4.3 rebounds in four preseason games.
Wiseman will serve as New York's third-string center behind starter Karl-Anthony Towns and primary backup Andre Drummond. The Knicks required additional frontcourt depth following the free-agent departures of Mitchell Robinson and Ariel Hukporti. Brown, who played in all 82 games for the Denver Nuggets last season, will now enter free agency.
