Orlando Magic share first impressions of new coach Sean Sweeney

Orlando Magic players shared positive first impressions of new head coach Sean Sweeney following summer workouts and the start of training camp. Hired in June while finishing an NBA Finals run with the San Antonio Spurs, Sweeney immediately initiated contact with his roster. Key players including Paolo Banchero, Franz Wagner, and Jalen Suggs praised his direct communication, authenticity, and clear expectations.

Players noted a shift in intensity and structure as the coaching staff outlines specific roles and standards. Defensively, Banchero noted planned adjustments to elevate the team's presence, while Desmond Bane highlighted expectations for increased offensive pace and ball movement.
