The big challenge for the Orlando Magic to open up training camp has been learning how Sean Sweeney wants his team to operate and the language he wants them to use.

The Orlando Magic have focused their early training camp on establishing team communication and learning new coach Sean Sweeney's terminology. The team drilled defensive foundations on day one before shifting to offensive execution, spacing, and transition habits on Wednesday.
Players including Desmond Bane and Jalen Suggs noted Sweeney's heavy emphasis on precise details and consistent verbal cues. Minor injuries also affected camp, with Anthony Black resting an ankle sprain, Noah Penda tweaking a hamstring, and Jonathan Isaac remaining limited by a knee sprain.
