Ben Simmons had an extremely difficult Sunday with his past in Philadelphia returning to the spotlight. Hours later, another setback threatened his future in the NBA. The former All-Star used a new documentary to revisit his fallout with the 76ers…

In the ESPN E60 documentary Being Ben, Ben Simmons sharply criticized Philadelphia 76ers executive Daryl Morey, labeling him a "snake" and accusing him of orchestrating his exit from the franchise. Shortly after the documentary comments surfaced, Simmons suffered a season-ending torn right Achilles tendon during practice with the Sacramento Kings, halting his career comeback attempt.
Simmons signed a one-year, $3.5 million contract with Sacramento this offseason to rebuild his career after injuries and a tumultuous departure from Philadelphia. In the film, he also claimed Morey made promises to James Harden during their dispute, while strongly pushing back against criticism that he had lost his passion for basketball.
