The Sacramento Kings have been making headlines before the NBA season, albeit not for things they would like. This continued with a story NBA insider Zach Lowe shared during an episode of his podcast that was released on Thursday night.…

Sacramento Kings owner Vivek Ranadivé reportedly delivered a "prolonged roast" of players, coaches, and executives during a preseason team dinner. NBA insider Zach Lowe reported on his podcast that the Kings verified the general account of the speech, which left several attendees alarmed ahead of the upcoming NBA season.
According to Lowe, Ranadivé intended to motivate the team by citing outside media criticism rather than expressing personal beliefs. While some listeners understood the owner's motivational intentions, others in the organization felt the critical remarks did not land well.
