Agent: Raptors sign Shead to extension

The Toronto Raptors have signed guard Jamal Shead to a three-year, $24 million contract extension, according to his agent KJ Smith. The extension secures Shead's place in Toronto through the 2029-30 season as he heads into his third year with the franchise.

Toronto originally acquired Shead in a trade with the Sacramento Kings shortly after the 2024 NBA draft. Known for his tenacious defense, Shead appeared in all 82 regular-season games during the 2025-26 season, averaging 6.6 points, 5.4 assists, and 0.9 rebounds.
