Kawhi Leonard has agreed to a two-year, $115 million contract extension with the Toronto Raptors that includes a player option for the 2028-29 season. The deal pushes Leonard's projected career earnings to roughly $541.1 million through 2028-29, moving him past Stephen Curry and James Harden into third on the NBA's all-time projected earnings list behind Kevin Durant and LeBron James.
To facilitate salary cap flexibility for Toronto, Leonard reportedly accepted about $11 million below his maximum extension value and waived a $7.45 million trade kicker. Combined with his scheduled $50.3 million salary for the 2026-27 season, the forward is positioned to earn approximately $165.3 million across three years if he exercises his player option.
