Washington Mystics center Shakira Austin and guard Sonia Citron have both earned WNBA All-Defensive Team honors. Austin was named to the All-Defensive First Team, while Citron earned a selection to the All-Defensive Second Team. This marks the first career All-Defensive selection for each player.
During the 2026 season, Austin anchored Washington's defense with 408 total rebounds and 51 blocks, also pacing the league in restricted-area defense. Citron posted an individual defensive rating of 101.7, becoming the first 22-year-old Mystics player to make an All-Defensive team since Ariel Atkins in 2019.
