The Arizona Cardinals brought in four defensive backs for workouts and physicals, evaluating safeties D’Anthony Bell, Dan Jackson, Mark Perry, and Nate Valcarcel. The evaluations came as general manager Monti Ossenfort aimed to address depth in the secondary following coverage issues and a season-ending injury to cornerback Will Johnson.
Following the tryouts, the Cardinals signed safety Mark Perry to their practice squad. Perry, who previously spent time on five NFL practice squads after going undrafted in 2024, joins an Arizona secondary that writer Barry Shuck notes has struggled alongside a limited defensive pass rush.
