As the Panthers prepare to visit a depleted Eagles team, they are getting the additional benefit of returning a few key reinforcements. According to ESPN’s Mike Kaye, Carolina has activated right tackle Taylor Moton and running Trevor Etienne on offense…

The Carolina Panthers have activated right tackle Taylor Moton, defensive lineman Tershawn Wharton, and running back Trevor Etienne from reserve lists ahead of their matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. Moton returns from the reserve/non-football injury list following treatment for a blood clot, while Wharton returns from the reserve/PUP list after recovering from neck surgery. Etienne was activated from injured reserve, and Carolina also elevated Anthony Tyus III and Robert Rochell from the practice squad for the upcoming game.
Moton's return is expected to shift rookie tackle Monroe Freeling back to a reserve role after filling in during Moton's absence. Wharton's comeback will bolster a defensive front that has relied heavily on young contributors, including TeRah Edwards and Aaron Hall. Meanwhile, with AJ Dillon sidelined by an ankle injury and Jonathon Brooks on injured reserve, Etienne is positioned to potentially serve as the primary backup running back behind Chuba Hubbard.
