The Chicago Bears will have to now prepare to face eight-time Pro Bowl offensive lineman Quenton Nelson in Week 8 after being traded to the Seattle Seahawks.

The Indianapolis Colts have traded eight-time Pro Bowl offensive lineman Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks for a 2027 third-round pick and a 2028 fifth-round pick. Nelson could potentially make his Seattle debut against the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football in Week 8, which writer Anthony Miller argues complicates Chicago's defensive game plan.
Miller highlights that Nelson's elite pass protection and run blocking will test Bears interior defensive linemen Grady Jarrett and Kentavius Street. Chicago defensive coordinator Dennis Allen must prepare for a more balanced Seahawks offense led by quarterback Sam Darnold, forcing edge rushers Montez Sweat and Austin Booker to elevate their play.
