Best content of the week: Lions CB Rakestraw eager to build on success

Detroit Lions cornerback Ennis Rakestraw Jr. is focused on building momentum following a string of solid performances in his third NFL season. After early-career setbacks caused by injuries and bad luck, Rakestraw is working to solidify his standing as a full-time starter on the defense ahead of a major divisional matchup, as highlighted by 97.1 reporter Will Burchfield.

Rakestraw noted that while he and his teammates believe in their abilities, he supports whatever personnel decisions the front office makes, including potential trades for additional cornerbacks. The weekly roundup from Pride Of Detroit also highlighted returner DeAndre Carter, special teams coordinator Dave Fipp, and rookie interactions between Keith Abney II and Skyler Gill-Howard.
