The Carolina Panthers have re-signed running back Anthony Tyus III to their practice squad after briefly waiving him from the active roster. The 23-year-old was initially released following Carolina's recent matchup against his former team, the Detroit Lions, but the NFC South franchise brought him back on Thursday to fill their open practice squad slot.

Tyus originally signed with Detroit as an undrafted free agent before joining the Panthers, where he has featured in two games primarily as a kick returner, totaling 127 yards across five returns. Prior to turning professional, he finished his collegiate career at Ohio with a strong senior campaign, rushing for 1,215 yards and nine touchdowns.
