Award-winning Evan Williams, Brandon Cisse elevating Packers’ defense

Green Bay Packers defensive backs Evan Williams and Brandon Cisse received major monthly honors for October from the NFL. Head coach Matt LaFleur congratulated Williams for winning NFC Defensive Player of the Month and Cisse for being named NFL Defensive Rookie of the Month. Both players credited the broader defensive unit under new coordinator Jonathan Gannon for their recent individual success.

During October, Williams recorded 41 tackles, two interceptions, and a sack, while Cisse posted 21 tackles and an interception. Their performances have helped Green Bay overcome injuries to Micah Parsons and Edgerrin Cooper to maintain a top-10 defensive ranking. The Packers defense next prepares to face quarterback Drake Maye and the New England Patriots on Sunday.
