CheeseheadTV's Jersey Al argues that Packers quarterback Jordan Love has elevated his status to a top-five quarterback in the NFL despite facing severe offensive adversity. Through six games in 2026, Green Bay leads the league in penalties and dropped passes while posting the fewest rushing yards. Additionally, Love has absorbed 45 quarterback hits and experienced the league's lowest average time to throw at 2.46 seconds.
Jersey Al also praises defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon for an adaptable, aggressive defensive scheme that has allowed young talent to flourish. The writer contrasts Gannon's approach with former defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley, while heavily criticizing inconsistent NFL officiating regarding roughing the passer penalties following Green Bay's recent game against the Dallas Cowboys.
