The Packers saw all the same problems last season, with Rashan Gary's effort once again a question.

Freddie Boston of Lombardi Ave argues that the Dallas Cowboys are dealing with the same effort and production concerns with Rashan Gary that the Green Bay Packers experienced before trading him. After Dallas acquired Gary for a fourth-round pick, the edge rusher has produced just one sack and five pressures through five games. Criticisms of Gary's effort intensified following Dallas' loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Boston contends that trading Gary and exercising Lukas Van Ness' fifth-year option was Green Bay's best offseason move. Van Ness has recorded 2.5 sacks and eight pressures, outperforming Gary while playing one fewer game. Gary has managed only one sack over his past 15 regular-season and playoff appearances.
