Kansas City Chiefs wrapped up their Friday practice session ahead of their Week 6 matchup against the 0-5 Los Angeles Chargers. But coming out of the bye week, injury issues are still bothering the offense.
Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid confirmed that wide receiver Rashee Rice and left tackle Josh Simmons are ruled out for their Week 6 game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Rice suffered a hamstring injury against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 4, while Simmons continues to recover from a bulging disc in his lower back that has kept him out all season.
Simmons took part in practice on Wednesday in a limited capacity for the first time this season, but he was held out of team periods. In Rice's absence, quarterback Patrick Mahomes will rely on other receiving targets, including Xavier Worthy and rookie Cyrus Allen, with Rice's availability for Week 7 against the Seattle Seahawks still uncertain.
