The Los Angeles Chargers are in major need of some positive injury breaks. The bye week presents a chance for them to get some.

The Los Angeles Chargers are expected to regain key players following their bye week as they prepare for a Week 8 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams. Head coach Jim Harbaugh announced during a Monday press availability that several injured players are nearing a return. The team has dealt with heavy injuries across the roster, particularly along the offensive line and in the receiving corps.
Injuries to offensive linemen Joe Alt, Rashawn Slater, and Trevor Penning forced multiple rookies into starting roles. The team also hopes the extended break allows wide receiver Ladd McConkey sufficient time to clear concussion protocol. Bolt Beat notes that returning injured personnel will be vital if the Chargers hope to improve their offensive consistency and defensive depth after the bye.
