The veteran Chargers LB has yet to play a snap this season. As Denzel Perryman returns from IR, could they move him at the deadline?

Alexander Insdorf of Bolt Beat argues that the Los Angeles Chargers should consider trading veteran linebacker Denzel Perryman ahead of the upcoming trade deadline. Head coach Jim Harbaugh announced that the team opened the return-from-IR windows for Perryman and tight end David Njoku. Perryman, who has yet to play this season due to an undisclosed injury, was named by NFL insider Tom Pelissero as a potential trade candidate.
Insdorf suggests that general manager Joe Hortiz should explore moving Perryman if the Chargers decide to sell before Tuesday's deadline. Given that the 33-year-old linebacker is on an expiring one-year deal and has missed significant playing time since 2024, Insdorf believes Los Angeles should aim to acquire future draft capital, such as a late-round draft pick.
