The Minnesota Vikings have officially released wide receiver Trayvon Rudolph from their practice squad ahead of Week 3. Rudolph, an undrafted rookie who played collegiately at Northern Illinois and Toledo, never appeared in a regular-season game for Minnesota after initially joining the team in June.
The roster move carried no salary cap penalty as practice-squad contracts contain no guaranteed money. Rudolph now enters free agency following a turbulent rookie summer that included stints with both the Seattle Seahawks and the Vikings organization.
